Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Exercise

This is for a sub-group project I am working with at the yahoo group sketchbookproject. It is following exercises in the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." I joined it because I have owned the book for several years and never made my way through it on my own. I thought working with others would help. This is one of the 1st exercises. Hmm, I see the mistakes but I do see somethings that I don't mind. Next is a self portrait, Oh My!

  1. What an interesting project! I really can't wait to see the next one ^^(self-portrait eh?)
Thanks for your comments, and yeah..speaking of cats.. my wife's parents' place has got 3 stray cats we kinda feed everyday, Daia, Tiger Bear, and Blade... My wife names Daia and Tiger Bear(which looks like your cat too), and I named the black one with white socks Blade because he/she looks like a ninja ^^ I am starting to like cats a lot now

  2. I think you did a great job on your hand. I am from the sketchbook group--haven't checked there yet. Did you post your drawing in the DORSB folder?

  3. I think you did an excellent job for a first exercise. Drawing the human body takes a different "eye" which I assume the book is trying to encourage. I read it years ago but never tried any of the exercises. Look forward to seeing more as you do the exercises.
